Cristiano Ronaldo rejoins Manchester United

On Friday evening, the former Real Madrid and Juventus player unveiled a new signing at Manchester United. Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford after leaving Manchester United in 2009.

Manchester United will pay Juventus €15 million plus €8 million in add-ons for Cristiano Ronaldo. As some add-ons are ‘easy,’ Juventus will receive around €20 million guaranteed.

Ronaldo is widely regarded as the best player in the world and one of the greatest players of all time, having won five Ballon d’Or awards and four European Championships.

When he joined Manchester United before the 2003–04 season, Ronaldo became the club’s first Portuguese player. His £12.24 million transfer fee made him the most expensive teenager in English football history at the time. In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games.

Ronald scored 81 goals and with over 100 appearances for Juventus in the two sea­sons and helped them win 2 Serie A titles. Ronaldo now re-joins Manchester United on a permanent deal from Juventus ahead of the 2021/​22 season. The 36-year-old Portuguese striker will go for medical checks in coming days.
