Followers woke up to the good news Makhadzi had to share. The young artist has wowed us with announcement on wining the AFRIMA Award.
Makhadzi shared on her twitter that “from Thursday to Sunday I will be in Nigeria performing at AFRIMA Awards, the biggest awards in Africa. I am in tears because I’m going to share a stage with my favourite artists.”
Little did we know that the Ghanama hit maker is also holding a nominee to her name and not just an opportunity to perform in Nigeria. Makhadzi shook South Africa’s grounds when Master KG posted an image of the artist holding an award with the caption “Congratulations Queen” followed by a heart.
The African queen will be landing in South Africa with not only memories but as an AFRIMA award winner for Artist of the Year Continental Category. Fans have expressed their deepest love for the queen with Master KG taking the trophy of being the number one fan and supporter of Makhadzi. Along with Makhadzi, Blaq Diamond also won for Best Male craftsman Southern Africa.
Makhadzi was also featured on a cover magazine by an international UK magazine Classique for a Q&A based on her career, two days ago. The artist seems to be making the most of her career, opening all doors made available. Nigeria was blessed with a performance by Makhadzi with her fire dance moves.
