Another ATM Bombed in a space of 14 days in Ga-Ramotshinyadi village, following the Madumeleng ATM bombing, Bolobedu.
According to reports it is alleged that in the early hours of Wednesday the 17 November 2021 at around 01:10 am, close to 20 suspects stormed into Makoti Filling Station in Ga-Ramotshinyadi village.
The suspects were armed with firearms and bombed an ABSA ATM at the filling station only to find the ATM had no money in it. Out of desperation and disappointment the suspects entered a bakery near the filling station and found Ethiopian nationals which they assaulted and demanded money from, leaving three of the Ethiopian nationals wounded.
Meanwhile other Ethiopian nationals rushed to the scene and were welcomed with a hail of bullets leaving one dead after being shot on the head. The wounded one’s were rushed to hospital for medical attention, more than 62 empty 9mm catridges and 1 short gun were discovered at the crime scene.
A case for four counts of crime, murder, attempted murder, malicious damage to property and business robbery has been opened and investigations are underway.
