The richest man in the world, Elon Musk explains how he got the name of his multi billion dollars company Tesla electrical motors.

Elon Musk mentioned that he didn’t come up with the name neither did he own it, as the name already existed and was already owned by a guy in Sacramento, who didn’t even want to sell the name to them.

Musk had to send the nicest and sweatest person in the company to convince the guy to sell the name to them, he urged the guy to sit on his door step until he agreed to sell the name to them. Musk stated “I sent the nicest person in the company impossible to anger to sit on the doorstep until he agreed to sell”.

Through the nicest person in the company the guy in Sacramento agreed to sell the name for $75 000 dollars. When asked Musk explained how badly he wanted the name, so much that he was willing to spend thousand dollars.

The billionaire said the alternative name had they not been able to acquire Tesla motors trademark was, “Faraday” which a competitor ended up using. Telsa motors today is the most valuable business in the world.
