Moti brothers are back home, safe and unharmed after they were kidnapped few weeks ago on their way to school in Polokwane.
Four sons of a well-known business mogul in Polokwane, Zidan, Zayyad, Alaan, and Zia Moti all aged between 6 -15 were kidnapped on their way to school in Polokwane at approximately 07:00 on Wednesday, 20 October 2021 when two vehicles blocked the BMW they were travelling with.
Moti brothers were abducted by seven men dressed in white overalls with R5 rifles and handguns who cornered their vehicle and forcefully removed and put them in a Mercedes Benz that drove off on the R81 direction.
The kidnapping shook the country and later led to a large number of officers including private security companies who made up the operational team to search for the missing brothers. On the other hand, a group of anxious parents gathered outside the Curro school yard praying for their safe return.
In the early hours of Thursday morning the parents of these four brothers issued a statement informing the public as stated “The parents of Zia, Alaan, Zayyad and little Zidane, Naazim and Shakira Moti are overjoyed by the return of their four sons. We thank Almighty Allah for accepting our prayers and the prayers of so many in South Africa. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to South African Police Services, political parties, the media, all the social media influencers, and everyone who prayed for the safety of our children.
We are thankful that they were set free and when we received a phone call to fetch the children, we rushed to the scene full of hope. All South Africa supported us, and we want to thank one and all for their support and kind prayers. We are looking forward to healing as a family and will appreciate some privacy for a while. We will talk to the media within a few days.”
