Aaron Motsoaledi Visits Diepsloot | Cele Promises Stability

Following deadly protest that transpired during the week, home affairs minister Aaron Motsoaledi accompanied by police Minister Bheki Cele, visited the community of Diepsloot.

It was reported that seven Diepsloot Community members were killed which the police later in a statement alleged otherwise. Police Minister says they are going to stabilise the community, he further condemned the media for only emphasizing of the death of Elvis Nyathi who was burned alive and not emphasizing of the rest of the murder cases reported of the people belonging to Diepsloot .

Aaron Motsoaledi says 25 Immigration officers will be employed to follow due law protocols on who should or should not be in South Africa. Cele Condemned residents who are harbouring illegal immigrants, renting property to them “some of you are harbouring undocumented immigrants, who are tenants.” He said.

He then informed the 26 vehicles have been placed on the ground and more officials will be deployed. Cele confirmed that more arrests have been made and further more will still take place. The minister of Home affairs closed by saying the system is being fixed of over the years of corruption at the office and parliament will work on the border restrictions.
