Kanye West’s request to change his name has been granted by Judge in LA, his new name is no longer Kanye West, but he will be legally called Ye, a name without a middle or a last name. The 44-year-old star known for hits such as gold digger, Jesus is king, just to name a few.

The name change came about when he released his album in 2018 and used Ye as the title for the album. His request to change the name was made early in August this year due to personal reasons. His Twitter handle has already changed to Ye before being granted by the court, while other accounts were still using his old name until Tuesday on this day.

Ye is commonly used word in the Bible, which means ‘you’  as he mentioned it back in 2018 during his interview with radio host Big Boy,  “I’m you, I’m us, is us as and Ye is being the reflection of our good, our bad, our confused and our everything.” said West

Later on this year he made headlines after splitting with his wife of nearly seven years, Kim Kardashian. The claimed separated couple have four children together.
