Would Amakhosi be able to redeem themselves?

Amakhosi

Amakhosi are looking forward to redeem themselves in their encounter against Chippa United this coming weekend. This comes after their poor start in the DSTV Premiership this season.

Kaizer Chiefs find themselves sitting in the 12th position on the log, with only one win in 6 games. However, the Soweto giants have already received several boosts after October international break fixtures, with few of their key players coming back into full training after long injuries.

Coach Sturt Baxter will be hoping for no new injuries in their preparations for the coming encounter with the Chillie Boys, since the glamour boys have been without their key strikers Leonardo Castro and Dumisani Zuma, who have both been side-lined due to injury issues. As a result, goals seem to be a concern to the Soweto giants who have just netted four times in their last six matches.

Apart from Kambole, Amakhosi currently have no outright striker who is fit and this has seen Bernard Parker and Kharma Billiat being played in that position, while Kambole is still waiting for his first start under coach Stuart Baxter, regardless of featuring as a substitute in the 0-0 draw against Marumo Gallants before the draw against the Durban based team, Amazulu FC.

However, many of the Amakhosi supporters still believes that their team could bounce back and go back to the old winning ways, but it remains to be seen whether the boys will turn that corner or is still a long journey to walk before things go back to normal. Coach Baxter is positive that the boys will find their tune back regardless of their very slow start. He said they still have a way to go. He even added that when you look at the performances in every game there have been some good things to take out of the game.
