Lesego Marakalla known as Rachel Kunutu from Skeem Saam became talk of the town after witnessed in a public transportation. A  taxi commuter took a picture of Marakalla and instantly went viral.

Social users quickly came to her defense questioning the motive behind taking the picture saying “what’s wrong with taking a taxi, is she not human like you?”  People say it’s such moments that when celebrities are at their downfall and the public mocks, many of them sought to suicide to end their misery. “Instead of stealing a snap, you should have asked if she’s okay and offer words of encouragement and be the fan you once were while she was Rachel.” Read one of the comment.

Marakalla is known for her role as Rachel Kunutu on Skeem Saam, a devours hard headed who married her sugar daddy and eloped to Cuba with his money. She recently made an appearance on Generation the Legacy, and since taken a break from appearing. With her heard on the ground, not much is known if she will make a come back on skeem saam as a qualified doctor, and now with Celia’s role on the line, the future is unpredictable.

On the stolen snap, Marakalla looked rather not in a happy describable mood, which raised concerns from her fans who say she is too talented to be going through the most now. Although some just said it’s a lookalike, people were pretty sure it is 100% her. What’s wrong with taking a taxi, perhaps her car has problems or with the extremely expensive petrol prices, she just wishes to save just like any other South African is trying to.

People say it is at a time like this that instead of mocking and making fun of celebrities, this should be the time when many are showing support to them during their downfall, just like they did with Zola 7 and saving Zahara’s home. Every South African is going through the most, if not because of corruption or petrol prices, it’s loadshedding and the mass shootings that are happening every now and then.
