Following into the footsteps of Minister Fikile Mbalula, former Finance Minister Tito Mboweni is forever on twitter.
Mboweni wrote a piece of advice, encouraging people to take the agriculture path and take the opportunity of growing South Africa’s economy through land lease.
His advice was not so much welcome as he received multiple backlash from users who say there’s no use giving out such advice when he does not go into detail as to how can one go about it.
Knowing the kind of corruption experienced in the country, they say getting such advice from leveled individuals such as Mboweni, is an insult to the youth who want to enter into the world of agriculture but have been turned down at the office as spaces get reserved for those with pockets deep enough to get someone off the list.
Even though, the truth in Agriculture being beneficial for the economy of South Africa is evident, the information in how one can find comfort and direction to the sector is not made available to the public. Farmers have to rely on one another to gain knowledge in attempt to progress in the sector.
