The Economic Freedom Fighters say they see no case of hate speech from the song said to be of anti-apartheid.

The political party made its appearance in court after AfriForum demanded a public apology and for the party to pay damages, also requesting for the court to regard the song as hate speech.

When speaking to the media after the court was adjourned, they denied ever singing kill the Boer but rather replaced the word kill with Kiss the Boer, therefore a need for apology or fine should not be put in the table.
