South African Police Service (SAPS) has announced that a number of police stations have been closed due to covid-19 cases.
The South African Police Service through their official facebook page have announced a number of police stations temporarily closed due to covid-19 cases, this stations include Maokeng police station, Inchanga DFO offices, Mangaung 10111 call centre, etc.
SAPS has advised the general public serviced by Maokeng police station that the station has closed for decontamination aftert the station has experienced a number of covid-19 cases, the police station will temporary operate from Manis Street Seeisoville, Maokeng, all telephone lines at the station will not be accessible.
Rietgat police station has also closed, Rietgat police officials will serve the clients from Phuthanong Satellite Station in Block HH during the contamination period. The community is advised to call 10111 for all complaints and emergencies since the CSC number will be inaccessible.
A number of Detectives at the Brighton Beach police station have also tested positive for covid-19, causing the detective branch to be closed. The services at the branch will resume on Thursday, 23 December 2021.
