Gauteng MEC of Education Panyaza Lesufi stated that he is delighted the Mayfair kidnapped school girl was found alive and unharmed.

The 11 year old grade 5 learner from E.P Baumann Primary School in MayFair who was kidnapped last year returned safely on Wednesday, 05 January 2022, the kidnapping happened in November 2021, while the child was on a que waiting to be sanitized.

According to reports the young girl’s mother received a call from the police station this morning informing her to come and fetch her child. Lesufi stated that they will avail their psycho social unit to provide counselling to the girl provided the trauma she faced .
