Over one hundred stolen cellphones found near East London.

The Eastern Cape police disciplinary team confiscated about 149 cellphones, 2 open view decoders, earphones and four (4) SD cards in the Potsdam area outside East London.

This is after a series of armed robberies in King Williams town recently looted. The suspects were driving a Toyota Avanza and fled. Police received a tip-off that their group was sent to Potsdam where they spotted the Avanza and, upon arriving, suspects fled into the bush.

That is when the air support was called to assist in the search but unfortunately the suspects managed to escape, with an estimated value of R170 000-00 and Avanza also seized by police with the abandoned digital devices.
