Netflix is set to release a five part docu-series on the 7th of April based on the life and death of South African football star, Senzo Meyiwa.
The Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was murdered outside the home to his then girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo. Meyiwa’s murder still remains unsolved. What was initially a robbery gone wrong is now described as a contract hit.
The sure to be thrilling true crime documentary dives into the evidence of the soccer star’s murder. The series is set to feature a host of familiar faces and exclusive interviews to give perspective and insight on the life and death of Senzo Meyiwa. Advocate Gerrie Nel, South African sports broadcaster Robert Marawa and the family of the soccer star will appear in the documentary.
Netflix tweeted “once a legend, always a legend. A Netflix documentary series Senzo: Murder of a soccer star premiere 7 April only on Netflix”
