New beginnings for the former Supersport United and Kaizer Chiefs defender, Morgan Gould.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Supersport United defender Morgan Gould recently announced his retirement from professional football.

Morgan Gould becomes the second player to announce his retirement after Reneilwe Letsholonyane hanged his boots from professional football in the 2020/21 season.

In order to revive his career Gould joined the newly promoted side, Sekhukhune United as a free agent on a one-year deal in November 2020 from Stellenbosch FC after he was released by the club in June 2020.Gould came in handy for Sekhukhune United as he helped them gain promotion to the topflight league.

Gould hangs up his boots with over 31 caps for Bafana Bafana and four topflight league titles. The 38-year-old veteran defender has been given a new role by Sekhukhune United FC; Gould will be serving as the Assistant Coach of Sekhukhune United Diski Challenge reserve team. Gould will make his debut as Assistant Coach on Saturday against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
