Gautrain will be offering Gauteng residents free rides for a day to experience how the fastest train in Mzansi moves, free of charge.

On Saturday the 11 of December, Gautrain will roll free rides to the general public at all of their stations, Sandton, Midrand and Pretoria stations, excluding the OR Tambo stations, the state owned train is classified as one of the fastest trains in the world.

Gautrain invites the public to register for free rides on their websites, to ensure their seats are secured, this comes as Gautrain is trying to encourage the citizens to make use of the high class and deemed expensive train.

Gautrain travels between the economic hubs of South Africa, with post popular rides being for Sandton, business people and the middle class prefer using the train as it does not experience traffic, unlike metro train with this one you will never get stuck on the road.
