Lesiba (Maestro) Ramabula has been killed after being struck by lightning while celebrating his milestone with friends in Seshego Zone 1, Limpopo following sudden freak weather change.

The 21 year old talented Midfielder was struck just after penning his signature on the dotted line with Mamelodi Sundowns Development Team. It is said that the lighting didn’t only struck him but also strucked one of his friends and Ramabula later succumbed to the lightning upon arrival at a nearby hospital meanwhile his friend survived with multiple injuries.

Ramabula was well known in his township because of his soccer talent and his sudden passing comes as a shock to the community of Seshego and many have linked his passing with witchcraft as Limpopo is well known of supernatural powers.

“After learning about this tragic incident, we immediately activated a team of social workers who will reach out to the families and start providing psychosocial support services.

We know that the family is obviously going through a lot, as they lost a young man who is said to be a promising soccer star” said the MEC of Social Development in Limpopo, Nkakareng Rakgoale .
