A fitness trainer who is known to work at Virgin Active was shot execution style in the head while on a zoom meeting.

Before being shocked by the death of the 85-year-old former South African president FW De Klerk who was previously hospitalised after being diagnosed with cancer, fitness junkies woke up to heart breaking news when pictures of a known fitness trainer Lawrence Masinge, being gunned down in a what is believed to be a robbery, while on a zoom meeting.

Fortunate enough the number plate was captured by the camera and even though the shooters face was not clear, the zoom meeting participants managed to get a clear descriptive look at him and described him to have a body structure of a body builder. But there was more than one suspect on scene.

The suspects continued to rob the place after they had cold bloodedly killed the victim, while the webcam was still on giving the zoom participant a tragic unexpected and unappealing movie scene to watch. Those who took to twitter to express their shock said it was like a movie, a prank and that he would somewhat wake up and say sorry guys it was a joke.

Crime has been on the rise in the country from gender-based violence to school stabbing and now fitness trainer killed. The level of these killings is now beyond the scale, not so long ago during the local municipal elections 2021, a number of political candidates who were running for councillor, were gunned down and for some, it was rather their relatives who were executed after being mistaken for that particular candidate.

One would say the way the killings are being done and orchestrated, seem scripted for a thriller movie. Murders execute those they want gone and cases go under investigations with a long wait for a lead. It is not yet known if the victim knew his shooter, if this crime was planned or if it was a mere robbery.
