Brazil were supposed to lock horns with Argentina in a crunch tier match of the Fifa World Cup Qualifier, at the Neo Quimica Arena Stadium. The FIFA World Cup will be hosted by Qatar in 2022 as it was announced in 2010 .Both teams were supposed to be meeting for the 7^th time on Sunday, with Brazil having won 3 matches meanwhile Argentina has won 3 matches.

In the opening half 4 minutes after the referee has blown the whistle for the match to start, the match was stopped as Brazilian authorities attempted to deport four Argentina players, for failing to quarantine and lying about completing their quarantine upon arrival in Brazil, namely Emiliano Martinez, Cristian Romero,Gio Lo Celso and Emilano Buendia.

Following unpleasant scenes, Argentina’s squad left the pitch being led by their captain Messi.
