Cabinet has approved changes made on adjusted level 1. The changes include.
- Those who test positive with no symptoms don’t have to isolate.
- If you test positive with symptoms, isolation period has been reduced from 10 to 7 days.
- Contacts do not have to isolate unless develop symptoms.
Cabinet says the rationale for those amendment is informed by the proportion of people with immunity to COVID-19 which has risen substantially exceeding 60 – 80% in several serosurveys.
Cabinet also reviewed the resumption of schooling is back to full time learning at school. Primary, secondary and special schools to daily attendance.
The provision for social distancing at school of 1 meter for learners in school has been removed. Further details can be found on the government website.
