Following the speculations that a 35-year-old South African female DJ, producer, media personality, and businesswoman robbed by her former employee Phumzile Diko, Ntombezinhle Jiyane better known for her stage name DJ Zinhle has filed a case against the accused and is expected to appear at the Protea Magistrates Court on Wednesday after allegedly stealing R500 000 from DJ Zinhle’s business account
The victim is an award winner as the pan African artist of the year in 2020 and won the best music video of the year for her latest single umlilo, she also made her way on the screen as a judge in Idols South Africa, 1s, and twos, Jika majika, and pursued her career of acting.
It seems like DJ Zinhle is the latest victim of theft after reports emerged that her former employee gifted herself almost half a million rands however this is not the first time this happens in Mzansi. the media personality Boity thulo was also the victim of a similar crime. she was defrauded by her fans asking for financial assistance and she did send the money to them. Not only was boity defrauded, Rebecca malope, the known gospel singer’s number was hacked, and the hacker impersonated her asking the singer’s WhatsApp contacts to send her money for her bail, claiming she has been arrested, and she needs money ASAP.
While it is too early to say, people on social media are wondering if Phumzile Dinko will be charged with theft or be found guilty of the crime she has stanched as it is still unclear why she did it but everything will be exposed in court along with her official bail application.
