Banyana Banyana are set to depart to Nigeria today as they will be taking part in the Aisha Buhari Cup in Lagos Nigeria, the tournament is set to kick off on the 15th of September to 21 September 2021.
After being given a go-ahead by the World football governing body, FIFA. The Banyana team will be joined by their overseas-based players ahead of their crunch tiers.
Banyana are placed in Group B of the Aisha Buhari Cup alongside their arch-rivals Cameroon and Ghana. The purpose of the tournament is to honour the name and Office of the First Lady of the federal Republic, Dr (Mrs) Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.
The Banyana team assembled to their first training session on Monday 06 September also had their last training session at the SAFA National Technical Centre ahead of their trip to Nigeria.
