The Premier Soccer League (PSL) to know the identity of the two teams that will replace relegated Jomo Cosmos and Ts Sporting in the GladAfrica Championship next season, as Magesi FC and MM Platinum have automatically gained promotion.
Magesi FC are no newcomers in the NFD as they were previously promoted in 2016, meanwhile MM Platinum will be making their first appearance in the GladAfrica Championship. The draw for the 2022 ABC Motsepe League national promotion playoffs was conducted following the completion of the group stage matches on Thursday, with semifinals concluded today.
The semifinal will took place on Friday at Olen Park Stadium, Gauteng Champions MM Platinum battled it out with Spear of the Nation from Eastern Cape in the first semifinal whereby, La Masia booked their spot in the GladAfrica Championship by defeating the Eastern Cape outfit by 1nil with a goal from Bethuel Tulane in the dying minutes.
Limpopo representatives Magesi FC took on the hosts North West University in the second semifinal at 15:00 and defeated them with 2 goals to 1. The winners of the semi-finals automatically secured a spot in the GladAfrica Championship for the upcoming season. The final fixture of the 2021/22 ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs campaign will decide who will walk away with 1million between MM Platinum and Magesi FC on Sunday.
