At a time of Revolution and democracy, the black Society found courage and strength to take on racism where applied, leaving no stone unturned at this point. The Siyavuma group marched to the Equality Court in Cape Town in a peaceful protest, in attempt to get justice for Siyavuma group against racist banks.

For a while the truth about black Society being given high percentage of interest on loan has been revealed by inside tellers and other departments within the bank sector.

Since Thursday 10 March 2022, the Siyavuma group accompanied by others, made their way in a peaceful march to say no to racism within banks. Members and users on social media alleged banks are racist when it comes to service, mainly towards the black community. They say banks have lost their ulterior motive and aim to please white society. In a tweet it is said “Black People are denied business loans, when given, they are charged exorbitant interest rates compared to our white counterparts. This, when we earn way below average compared to white people.”

Majority say they are fed up with the service they receive from all banks. The Nedbank has come up multiple times in such allegations from black majority who say enough with racism banks. Complains run from simple lack of service with long ques, to unlawful interest rates towards black people. Based on investigation plus years including generational transformation, it looks like racism to end, it will take more than a peaceful march and a memorandum. Police were heavy at the Equality Court in Cape Town, leaving many concerned as to when will a peaceful march be respected in South Africa
