Struggle stalward Emiritus Archbishop Desmond Tutu passes away at the age of 90, he played prominent role in  South African apartheid struggle.

The minister in the presidency Mondli Gungubele released a statement announcing the passing of Archbishop Desmond Dube on the morning 26 December 2021.

President Cyril Ramaphosa on behalf of all South Africans expressed his profound sadness at the passing of the Bishop. Tutu was involved in the apartheid struggle during the dark days of South Africa in which blacks were oppressed.

The Bishop suffered from prostate cancer, he was hospitalized on several occassions to treat the desease, he passed away at the Oasis Frail Care Centre in Cape Town.
