The South African Football Association (SAFA) has said that it will be considering its options after their protest against Ghana to have the World Cup Qualifier match replayed was declared inadmissible by the FIFA disciplinary committee on Friday, 03 December 2021.
The FIFA disciplinary committee found SAFA’s protest against Ghana to be inadmissible as it did not meet the requirements under the Articles 14 and 46 of the FIFA Disciplinary code and regulations.
SAFA CEO, Tebogo Monthlante, has responded to FIFA’s ruling and stated that the South African Football governing body will acquire reasons for the outcome from FIFA and then after weigh their options.
“We have received the decision without details and we will request FIFA for the reasons and consider our options,” said Monthlante.
Mzansi tweeps have reacted to FIFA’s ruling against SAFA and some have called on SAFA to let the matter go whilst some have urged SAFA to appeal the decision.
