FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 | Football fans to abstain or go to prison for 7 years.

The highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar is scheduled to run from 21 November – 18 December, this is the first ever World Cup to be held in the Arab world.

The tournament is contested by the senior national teams of the member associations of FIFA and will be the last to involve 32 teams, with an increase to 48 teams scheduled for the 2026.

With over 1.2 million tickets sold for Qatar’s World Cup with England, Brazil being amongst the largest buyers, football fans who haven’t tied the knot excitement will be shortlived as Qatar has enforced sex bans for unmarried couples as sex outside marriage is illegal in Qatar.

This is the first time in the history of football with fans being forced to abstain if they’re not married, failure to do so they’ll face 7 years in prison. In addition travelling fans also need to be aware that being drunk in public is a crime and could face death penalty if they are caught smuggling cocaine to Qatar.
