The Phambili High School teacher who was accused of using a gun to scare learners has been suspended. KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education took a decision to suspend the teacher after the investigations were done about the accusations that were made by parents and learners.

The head of Department Nathi Ngcobo said when speaking to Isolezwe an Isizulu publication that they have suspended the teacher. “I can assure you that the educator who taught at Phambili High School who was accused of scaring learners with a gun has been suspended. The Department will take measures to discipline her,” said Nathi

According to Isolezwe, parents of the learners went to the school and distructed teaching and learning the past Monday asking for answers. The angry parents took it to the school to say they are tired of this teacher, they waited for the teacher to come to them so that they would chase her away but she didn’t arrive.

“We are tired of this teacher, we are fed up of having a teacher who carries a gun to school. Where have you heard of a teacher who uses a gun to scare learners with a gun when they make noise? We are not changing what we say, we want her gone not tomorrow but now,” said the parent who was speaking Isolezwe.
