Former wwe superstar, AAA and UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez was denied bail on Monday, keeping him in prison while he awaits trial for the charges of first degree attempted murder.
During the hearing in court on Monday Cain Velasquez lawyer revealed that they are willing to pay bail price of about $1 Million, the lawyer also stated that Velasquez was willing to be subjected to home arrest and use electronic devices to monitor his moves ensuring he does not attack the victims again.
Cain Velasquez was arrested on February 28 after he allegedly followed Paul Bender and his stepson in a high pursuit chase, rammed their vehicle, and opened fire on them, hitting Bender. At the time, Bender was taken to the hospital and treated with what was reported to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Cain Velasquez hearing included video testimony from one of the victims, Paul Bender. Paul Bender is the stepdad of a man who has been accused of molesting one of Cain Velasquez’s younger relatives. During his testimony, Bender said he suffered a severed brachial artery and nerve damage as a result of Velasquez allegedly shooting him. He also claimed his injuries were so bad that he could no longer work.
