Africa Newz has learnt with sadness about the sudden death of John “Master Drum” Madumo – the prominent Mamelodi Sundowns Supporter of Eersterust branch. Although the details of his death are still sketchy, it has been confirmed that the loyal supporter died today (Monday).

Madumo was known for his love of the Brazilians and was popular among the club’s supporters nationwide as he was always present at the Dtsv Premiership reigning Champions fixtures. He was one of those fans who was looking forward to the return of fans at stadiums to continue where he left off supporting his beloved team.

Apart from being a staunch Mamelodi Sundowns supporter, Madumo was also a known of loudly banging his drums at Mamelodi Sundowns matches. Mamelodi Sundowns also confirmed the passing of their die hard fan, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of our beloved Master Drummer, John Black Madumo.
