Zuma and Mphahlele haunts Kaizer Chiefs

Amazulu claimed a comprehesive 4-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs at Moses Mabhida on Friday evening.

The hosts got off to a flying start with former Amakhosi Midfielder, Dumisani Zuma getting on the scoresheet after just 14 minutes.

Chiefs could’ve equalised two minutes after Ashley Du Preez got fouled by Abbubaker Mobara and won a penalty, however Bonfils Bimenyimana failed to convert.

Usuthu doubled their lead before the half hour mark as the former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Ramahlwe Mphahlele headed another delivery from George Maluleka.

Arthur Zwane’s side failed to build up from the back as Sede Dion latched on Edmilson Dove’s poor clearance and deflected the ball into an empty net. The hosts went into half time leading Kaizer Chiefs 3-0.

Heading into the second half, both parties introduced no changes. Usuthu picked up where they left off in the first half as they consolidated their lead in stoppage time through Bonginkosi Ntuli, making it 4-0 to Amazulu, securing their first win over Amakhosi in Durban after 24 years.
