Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan called by Wits and UJ students to take the blame for a collapsing South Africa witnessed today. During what was meant to be a “discussion” between Gordhan and students, ended in total chaos after students demanded Gordhan vacate the premises at Wits.
They demand Gordhan take responsibility for the disasters faced, linking him to the “unending loadsheddings” saying they are as a result of him appointing an Eskom CEO who was also “in charge of Naspers and collapsed it, only to come do the same with Eskom.” Not only that but they also vented on his time as Minister of Finance, saying he failed to allocate the finances to certain students under NSFAS gets funding.
Gordhan since the incident, issued a statement condemning the “unruly behaviour of a small clique at the Wits lecture.” The public has however also responded on the matter saying Pravin should have taken the chance to listen and take it up with the President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa. They stated this one a step into the right direction, scolting every ANC minister of all the wrong doings and decisions they took, leading SA to the chaos it is today.
