The 2021/22 UEFA Champions League Draw took place on Thursday evening, at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.
The draw consists of 32 teams and were divided into four pots. Pot 1 contained the UEFA Champions League holders and the Champions of the topflight leagues in (Spain, England, Germany, Italy, France, and Portugal). The remaining teams were seeded based on their UEFA Club coefficients.
UEFA also announced its award winners for the 2020/21 season and Chelsea dominated in those awards, the list is as follows: Goalkeeper of the year, Edouard Mendy (Chelsea), Defender of the year Ruben Dias (Man City), Midfielder of the year N’golo Kante (Chelsea), Forward of the year Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund), Coach of the year Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea) and year Jorginho as UEFA player of the year (Chelsea).
The 2021/22 UCL Draw has some mouth-watering encounters as the draw went this way:
GROUP A:
Manchester City, Paris-Saint Germain, RB Leipzig, and Club Brugge.
GROUP B:
Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, FC Porto, and AC Milan.
GROUP C: Sporting CP, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax Amsterdam and Besiktas.
GROUP D:
Inter Milano, Real Madrid, Shakhter Donetsk, and Sheriff Tiraspol.
GROUP E:
Bayern München, Barcelona FC, Benfica Lisbon and Dynamo Kyiv.
GROUP F:
Villarreal, Manchester United, Atalanta and Young Boys.
GROUP G:
Losc Lille, Sevilla, RB Salzburg and Vfl Wolfsburg.
GROUP H:
Chelsea, Juventus, FK Zenit, and Malmo.
