On Monday morning, the Hawks went to Limpopo, in attempt to clean up after the corruption in the Limpopo province.
With a lot going on in South Africa and corruption being the number one problem apart from corona virus, the Hawks are on the verge of exposing each and everyone involved in committing corruption.
The Hawks have arrested more than ten people involved in corruption, on relation of irregularities involving tenders in the Mogalakwena local municipality in Limpopo. Corruption seems to reside in most municipalities, and many of them relating to vacancies and tenders. People get awarded tenders worth millions of rand, without proper documentations and biddings. A lot of the awarded tenders have till today not shown any result of work.
Due to the irregularities that went underway in the above-named municipality, the Hawks managed to make arrests and amongst those taken into custody is the former mayor, Municipal officials, ANC REC member in Waterberg region and business people. Further Investigations will take place.
