The five co-defendants in the Thabo Bestor jailbreak scandal are still waiting to be granted bail. On Friday, the court heard details about how each suspect was involved in Bestor’s escape from a manganese correctional facility last May.

Their lawyers argued with the court, stating the accused are not of flight risks and vowed to not interrupt with the investigation, and will participate.

In the meantime, Thabo Bester, Dr Nandipha Magudumana and Zikalala are expected to make their next appearance on the 20th of June.
