19- year old Stellenbosch FC Midfielder Oshwin Andries has sadly passed away after being stabbed on Saturday.

According to the renowned publication, IDiski times Andries is understood to have been stabbed on Saturday, with information about his untimely passing scarce at this moment in time, but confirmed to this publication.

Andries passed away aged 19 and would’ve turned 20 in three weeks on the 24th of February. his death comes a day after he played the entire 90 minutes with Stellenbosch FC senior team in their 2-1 victory over Chippa United last night.

The Western Cape born starlet had all the prospects of becoming a great South African player as he recently captained Amajita (U-20) national team at the COSAFA games.

Andries featured in eight DSTV Premiership games for Stellenbosch FC and scored his only goal against Royal AM in their 3-1 victory over Thwihli Thwahla. Stellenbosch FC are understood to release a statement on Andries’ untimely passing.
