Forensic Police Officer Thabo Mosia, has been for a while taken the stand for a cross examination for the Senzo Mayiwa murder trial at the Pretoria High Court, and has on Thursday shocked and moved Mzansi with his response to the questions.

Mosia was under cross examination by Advocate Zandile Mshololo who is represents accused number 5. Mshololo focused more on the photos taken of the scene, stating that the court has been denied an opportunity to see the original pictures. Mosia when asked “where is the CD with the photos?” he responded to the advocate and said “I don’t have it, I don’t know where it is”, but later changed his response to say it was in Johannesburg.
After having an interpreter brought it for Mosia, and Baloyi is is for the state addressed that the state can make the original disk made available for the court. During court proceedings, more shock came through from when Mosia told the court that he took pictures where late Brigadier Ndlovu pointed out. Heres how the questions went:
Judge Maumela: “you only took pictures pointed out to you by Ndlovu.”
Mosia: “Yes…in fact I wasn’t supposed to start with that crime scene, I took the exhibits to keep them safe.”
Adv Mshololo: “who was in control of the crime scene between you and Ndlovu?”
Sgt Mosia: “It was me.”
Adv Mshololo: “but you were following instructions from Ndlovu..”
Mosia: “not instructions, indications”
Adv Mshololo: “how do you rely on someone who is not an expert when it came to your forensic investigation”
Mosia: “It is procedure, I found the officer on the scene and I have to collect whatever info that they found.”
Disappointed by Mosia’s answers, South Africans took to twitter to voice out their opinion and saying he is not telling the truth abount what he found and how he found the scene, this is what they had to say: @Bongani__Selepe: “I’m shocked that Mosia is a forensic expert, that guy is completely incompetent. Prisons are full of poor innocent people while communities are overloaded with hardcore criminals”
@Mandlela9: “Ohk now English is never a problem for Mr Mosia he is just incompetent in his job qha, he has done too many things wrong for an expert that he is, his credibility is questionable.”
