The murder case of former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, postponed until 12 April 2022. It has been almost 8 years since Meyiwa was gunned down in Vosloorus at his then- girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo.

Advicate Gerrie Nel said that considering the brief that he got and seen from the SAPS, he is convince that they have the correct people before court but he would have expected more arrest as he does not believe it was robbery gone wrong. A media publication tweeted “Adv. Gerrie Nel says the new development in the murder trial of #SenzoMeyiwa won’t slow down court proceedings starting today. Nel, who represents Meyiwa’s family says they have a water-tight case”.

@Lwandile Bench also tweeted “Advocate Zandile Mshololo who is representing accused 5 in the murder case of Senzo Meyiwa says they are not ready to proceed with the trial because they only received certain statements from the state 2 weeks before trial”.
