Samsung, Huawei and iPhones that will no longer support WhatsApp from November

In less than two weeks the world’s most popular used mobile application WhatsApp will no longer function on a number of Android and IOS mobile devices.

The mother company Facebook which owns, WhatsApp shared a list of mobile devices that will no longer support the WhatsApp messaging application from the 01 November 2021, the list includes mobile devices from popular cellphone manufacturers such as Samsung, Apple, Huawei, LG and Sony.

In general this will be mobile devices that are running Android 4.0.3 or lower, and Apple iPhones that are running on iOS 9 or older. If your running the listed Android and IOS version on your mobile application it will be best to check if your device has an update available to the compatible android or IOS version, should your device have a pending update to the latest  version, no need to worry as your cellphone will continue using WhatsApp.

As for the iPhone users, WhatsApp will only be supported on devices that use IOS 10 or the latest,the older version of iPhones such as iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, and iPhone 6S Plus will no longer use WhatsApp as from the end of this month.

Here is a complete list of some mobile devices that will no longer support WhatsApp from the 1st of November: Samsung Phones: Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy SII, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Core and Galaxy Ace 2. Huawei Phones: Ascend G740, Ascend Mate, Ascend D Quad XL, Ascend D1 Quad XL, Ascend P1 S, and Ascend D2. Sony Phones: Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia Neo L and Xperia Arc S. Apple Phones : iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, and iPhone 6S Plus. LG Phones: Lucid 2, LG Optimus F7, LG Optimus F5, Optimus L3 II Dual, Optimus L5, Optimus L5 II, Optimus L5 Dual, Optimus L3 II, Optimus L7, Optimus L7 II Dual, Optimus L7 II, Optimus F6, Enact, Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus F3, Optimus L4 II, Optimus L2 II, Optimus Nitro HD, 4X HD and Optimus F3Q
