Re-appointed University of Cape Town Vice Chancellor Prof Mamokgethi Phakeng is off to the United State and proud to be clothed by local designers and manufacturers, from top to bottom.
Traveling from Amsterdam to Los Angeles, Prof Mamokgethi Phakeng was proud to see heads turn, catching a glimpse of her different attire compiled from supporting local. With the top from Imprint_ZA, Jeans from TshepoJeans, accompanied by Bathu Shoes from Theo Baloyi, the professor is sure haughty to have represented South Africa when she landed, just as she will be representing at a conference in San Diego, and meet up with Alumni and donors before making her way back home.

My shoes are from Bathu_sa by Theo Baloyi who is a genius when it comes to comfortable & stylish shoes, he is of course a UCT BBusSci graduate & it shows. I am Proudly South African!” She wrote
The UCTs Vice Chancellor received well wishes on her trip, along with congratulation messages on her re appointment. On a video shared with her followers, the professors smile indicates her emotions of representing the beauty and talent of her country through clothes.
