Former Generations actor, Nyaniso Dzedze, is set to join eTV soapie Durban Gen as Doctor Dhlomo. The actor confirmed the news on his official Twitter page. “There you have it famo. I’m a doctor!*,” tweeted Dzedze.

Dzedze will be a familiar face to the eTV fans having already featured in multiple soapies on the channel such as Rhythm City and Ashes to Ashes and others such as popular soapie Generations and animation movie Black is King as Simba.

Nyaniso Dzedze follows veteran Tina Jaxa as the latest additions to an already exciting Durban Gen cast featuring the likes of Mxolisi Majozi popularly known as Zulu Boy, Meshack Mavuso playing the role of Dr. Thabo Dlamini, Mike Ndlangamandla and others.

Durban Gen fans have reacted to the news on Twitter seemingly excited by the soapie’s newest addition whilst some felt it may not be a compatible move.
