Military Artillery Regiment Confiscate Dagga And Illicit Cigarettes

South African Military Artillery regiment confiscated over R1.5 million rands dagga and illicit cigarettes at Zimbabwe / South African border.

The four South African Artillery regiment confiscated Dagga along with illicit cigarettes  worth over R1.5 million rands, the soldiers also managed to arrest a suspect who was handed over to South African Police Service.

At Swartwater soldiers confiscated dagga valued at R33 750.00 while at Pontdrift soldiers confiscated illicit cigarettes worth R374 719.00. Further illicit cigarettes were confiscated at Dongola Ranch and at Neltox farm in the Madimbo area  R160 578.00 worth of illicit cigarettes were confiscated.

The soldiers stated that where illicit cigarettes were confiscated no arrests were made, with travel at peak along the border more illegal activities are expected to be bust by South AFrican law enforcements.
