The public suggest they hold no faith in Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela, whom is presiding the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. An anonymous witness is expected to take the stand, and the public say they see Judge Maumela allowing the witness to not be seen or recorded by the media.

Not so long ago, The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) recommended the suspension of Judges Maumela and Nomonde Mngqibisa-Thusi, pending the outcome of an inquiry into their alleged failure to deliver a series of reserved judgments. This was placed before President Cyril Ramaphosa, to order the suspension.
It does no however come as a surprise, that a number of cases in South Africa, are constantly being postponed, and take years before a verdict is reached. With the Thabo Bester case, it has been postponed for the 4th time, said to be expected to take just as long as the Senzo Meyiwa case.
