La Masia (MM Platinum) will be aiming to take a stranglehold in ABC Motsepe League National promotion-relegation Playoffs. La Masia beat fellow ABC Motsepe League side African All Stars 2-1 in a 2nd leg tier at the Panorama Sports ground this past weekend , and were crowned Champions of the 2021/22 Gauteng ABC Motsepe Provincial Playoffs.

The 1st leg match had ended in a stalemate but La Masia edged African All Stars with a winning penalty from “Mr Distribution” Sidingo Nxumalo penalties to clinch the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League title. La Masia (MM Platinum) Head Coach Dalano Hendricks revealed his delightfulness following his team’s success.

“It was really a interesting season, we were definitely in a very difficult stream but it feels good to have reached the mandate given by the chairman and now we are Gauteng champions. One more hurdle to go.”

“Our plan going ahead of the National Playoffs isn’t much different, we won’t change much, we don’t have to change our winning form, we’ll keep on doing what were doing through out the season and as a collective we’ve always had the ambition of winning the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League and i don’t think any team that’ll be in the National Playoffs will playing without the objective of going all the way into the NFD and we are no different from that .”he said.

The National Playoffs fixtures and venues are still pending awaiting other provinces to conclude their ABC Motsepe League season.
