Popularly known as “Mokhelele The Black Jesus”, Boitumelo Khumalo was stabbed to death by his girlfriend Nombulelo, whom is allegedly out on free bail. This latest report has left the youth of Kanana in klerksdorp, in disgust, following her release although she committed a murderous crime.

The pair had been romantically involved for the past years, and also share a child together. Allegations laid out, suggest the couple were arguing about a third party who may have also been secretly romantically involved with the girl. The argument escalated to Mokhelele having sustain a stab wound, which took his life. The thirt person took to social media to deny any involvement to the murder. Nombulelo was then apprehended by police, and is allegedly out on free bail.

Having worked at the local KFC franchise outlet, Mokhelele was known and loved by many he crossed paths with. The Kanana police station came underfire earlier in the week, following a visit from the SABC news broadcast, after numerous complaints surfaced, stating help is never received when reporting Gender Base Violence cases or cases are rather not prioritized or left as cold cases.

This is the second case of a young individual, killed by their companion in this area of kanana, and cases not be solved. Suspended councillor of ward 25 Tebogo Sepalo, was also arrested and denied bail, for conducting in sexual activities with three minors, two being 16 year old boys, and 1one female with an undisclosed age, believed to be under 16.
