The former incarcerated Former South African President Jacob Zuma has made his appearance at a primary school in Nkandla KwaZulu Natal where he usually cast his vote.
This is the first time Zuma was seen out in the public after he was released on medical parole. Cheerful chants and songs could be heard from those in the area when Zuma was seen arriving and getting out of the vehicle he was riding in. Many amongst the crowd could be heard wishing him great health and prosperous life.
Jacob Zuma was on the queue waiting to go in and make his mark, officials and his bodyguards worked best to prevent the crowd to get closer to the former President however this could not be prevented on the outside when he was done with casting his vote.
ANC volunteers gave the former president a reflector top with the name of the candidate running for the ward in Nkandla. He greeted them the Covid-19 handshake way before he headed off to the ANC tent where party members mark on the register list that they have voted.
With the media trying to get a word or two from Zuma, he told them he will not address the media but later in the tent when asked by the media which party he voted for, he replied with his laughter saying, “I did vote for the ANC, it is no secret that I will choose ANC and I advise others to do the same.” said Zuma
Many political leaders were witnessed nationwide going to the polls to make their choice including the current ANC president and President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, who was in Soweto near where it is said to be where his most upbringing is. Meanwhile in other part of the country many still withstand the decision to not vote.
