Charles Yohane a Zimbabwean footballer based in South Africa has died at the age of 48 he was residing in South Africa for about 25 years.
The news was confirmed by a Zimbabwean radio personality Steve Vickers. He tweeted “Tragic news that former Zimbabwean, CAPS and Wits left-back Charles Yohane has been hijacked and killed in South Africa at the age of 48. He was in the warrior’s squad for 2004 AFCON. Coaching the Wits development side in SA.”
Yohane played most of his professional football playing for South African club Bidvest Wits. Yohane was killed during a hijacking in South Africa, his lifeless body was dumped in Mzimhlope Soweto before it was later found.
Charles was now a bolt driver.
