The sudden death of Patrick Shai committing suicide is making the rounds. Shai was a veteran actor who is known for his long time role on generations.

Patrick Shai commited suicide in his garage in Dobsonville Soweto with the public speculating the death is somehow to the recent video clip he released throwing insults on Cassper Nyovest and his mother. He released a video challenging Nyovest to a Boxing ring fight which he later retracted and apologized for his behaviour and speech on the video.

Shai was on a mission of fighting Gender Based Violence, adding to the small role he played in the famous soapie Uzalo on SABC 1 motivating men to stop GBV against women and Children.

Mzansi say his death should trigger to many how real depression is and signs to look out for when people cry for help. Many say they will remember him for who he was on the screen and not the last person he portrayed on the Cassper trending clip. Nyovest has not yet made mention of the incident on his social pages.
