MEC Albert Fritz has stepped down as a DA leader after being accused of sexual misconduct. Fritz was suspended after serious allegation were brought against him of sexual misconduct. 

This happened after several complaints against him from interns, current and former employees who submitted affidavits.  Western Cape Premier Alan Winde has announced his decision to remove Albert Fritz from the provincial cabinet effective immediately. 

 This decision comes after final investigation reveals sufficient evidence into the allegation levelled against him. 

 The report also revealed that Fritz is not fit and proper to hold any position in executive council. The report also shows sufficient credibility in the allegations of sexual misconduct and alcohol abuse.
